Privacy-first design

Flousi is a personal finance tracking and decision-support app. The review-safe version works in local-first mode by default. Your accounts, transactions, assets, notes, imports, and settings stay on your device unless you choose a feature that uses a configured external service.

Data you enter

Flousi may store the finance records you add, including account names, balances, transactions, categories, imported statement details, assets, liabilities, vehicle information, settings, app PIN settings, and notes. Flousi does not ask for bank login credentials and does not need your card PIN.

How Flousi uses data

Your data is used to calculate totals, charts, category breakdowns, account summaries, net worth, duplicate checks, and review-first insights. Flousi does not initiate bank transfers, card payments, loan payments, crypto orders, investment trades, or any other movement of money.

Local storage and future online backup

In local-first mode, data is stored in your browser or device storage. If a future verified online backup option is enabled, deletion and data-control instructions will be provided in the app and through support. Local-only use remains available.

AI and insights

Flousi may show deterministic insights based on the data you enter. External AI analysis is not required for the app to work and should be used only when explicitly configured and enabled. If there is not enough data, Flousi should say that instead of guessing.

External APIs

Some optional features may use documented external providers for exchange rates, market data, OCR, or similar utilities. Flousi should show source and unavailable states when provider data is missing. It should not invent live prices, balances, or financial values.

Reliability

Diagnostics are disabled by default. If they are enabled later, Flousi may collect limited technical details such as app version, error type, and device category to improve reliability. Diagnostics are scrubbed and should not include balances, transactions, account names, notes, imported files, or financial records. Export, deletion, and control

  • You can clear local app data from the app settings or your browser storage controls.
  • You can export app data where export tools are available.
  • If a future verified online backup option is enabled, deletion instructions will be available through the app and support contact below.
  • You should not send bank passwords, PINs, or full card numbers to support.
